What’s hilarious is that correctly identifying both men would have had more of a punch, in terms of what he was trying to rant about Bush and Iraq and corporations.
Yes, he’s an idiot, but he’s such a sanctimonious and clueless idiot that it’s hard to resist poking fun at him…even if it does amount to barrelfishing.
Back when he had comments enabled on his blog (ah those were the days) he posted on the evils of the Iraq war, and used a picture of a plucky youth facing off against a tank.
Problem was that it was an M60 (which hasn’t been used by the US since the early 90s) and further it sported modifications that were distinctly Israeli. Which made the plucky youth a Palestinian. Right part of the world, wrong combatants. How hard would it have been to find a picture of a tank in Iraq?
I didn’t blame him much – vehicle identification might be beyond him, Vietnam (era) vet that he is. But this is pretty lame.
