Uh-Oh

It looks like the Ghoul may have caught up with Spirit, after all.

When Spirit’s problems cropped up Wednesday, the rover’s long tool-carrying arm had already deployed its German-made Mossbauer Spectrometer to scan the surface of the rock Adirondack for iron-bearing minerals that might have formed in hot, watery environments.

I wonder if this is just a coincidence, or if there is a connection to the problems Spirit had with its Mossbauer spectrometer while en-route to Mars
