ABOUT THE BOOTH: As might be expected from an organization without a lot of money, when compared with colossal, globe-spanning aerospace corporations with immense promotional budgets, our booth was a bit, hmm, “underwhelming”:

I don’t want to sound like I’m criticizing those who worked the Congress — I know that they put in a lot of time and effort, and judging from the traffic the booth received on Saturday, it all worked out just fine.

My point in raising this matter is that the Society should have some sort of classy exhibit for just such occasions. I’m not suggesting a multi-million-dollar high-tech plush-carpet playroom, but at least a set of folding display panels to house the exhibit materials. I’ve been considering building a set of folding panels for this purpose, so I have thought through the design and priced the materials. It’s not all that expensive, and had I known about this beforehand, I would have been willing to contribute the required materials and labor to “the cause”.

In fact, if anyone is interested in participating or contributing to it, perhaps a “Traveling Exhibit Materials Project” would be in order. Since I’m the one complaining, I’m willing to arrange it if there is sufficient interest. If you are interested, contact me here.
