The unfortunate thing that was lost in the (wholly justified) deep-six-ing of this concept was a nearly flight-weight 600 MW nuclear reactor!!! Just imagine what a modern ‘copy’ of that would enable if used as the basis of a s/c engine.
But, yes, it would make a good basis for a “Failsafe” type movie.
