Fox was briefly reporting this morning that M&M/Mars, 7-Up, and others have signed up as sponsors of an annual follow-on to the X-Prize, to be called the Ansari Cup. This is a clever idea, as it gives the teams that don’t win the X-Prize another chance to demonstrate their hardware — that is, it makes the X-Prize more than a one-off stunt.
